Change in Service: Houston METRO Digital Ticketing
Change in Service Notice- December 31, 2024
We want to inform you of a change in service regarding Houston METRO. As of December 31, 2024, METRO’s digital ticketing services are no longer offered through the ConnectSmart app.
What does this mean to you?

Beginning December 31, 2024, you were no longer able to purchase, store, or use METRO tickets through the ConnectSmart app. Any unused METRO tickets as of that date will be refunded in full to your account with Coins in your Wallet by January 31, 2025.
You will still be able to plan your trips (including transit), earn rewards, and use your Coins to pay for Uber rides and gift cards through the app.
As a loyal user, you have been an important part of helping to make Houston a greener city, and we are working hard to bring you even more innovative features in 2025!
