Make an Impact with the Carpool Challenge Bingo Game!

Did you know you can earn rewards in Houston ConnectSmart by playing Bingo during Earth Month? Starting April 21, 2025, current users have two weeks to complete three tiles in a row, column, or diagonal on their Carpool Challenge Bingo card using the ConnectSmart app. New users start by completing a Bingo on the Explorer Challenge Bingo card before unlocking their two-week Carpool Challenge. 

After each carpool-related action taken in the ConnectSmart app, you’ll earn a chance to play a tile on your Carpool Challenge card, bringing you one step closer to earning 5 reward Coins. Coins can be used on gift cards, Uber rides, or a chip-in fee for carpooling. 

Every carpool you take reduces vehicular miles, lowers carbon emissions, and saves money on gas. Visit your Trip Log to see the impact you’re making–for yourself, your carpool buddy, the Houston region, and the planet!

Heading out with a friend? Taking an Instant Carpool is easy:

• Go to the Carpool page and tap Instant Carpool

• Select Ride or Drive, then enter your route details

• Have the Rider scan the Driver’s QR code in the app

Planning ahead? You can also schedule a carpool by joining or creating a carpool group. Set up a public or private group with your friends, family, neighbors, or check if your employer already has a carpool group you can join. Click here for instructions on how to take a scheduled carpool.

• Tap the 🏆 on the app’s landing page to reach the Achievements page

• Tap Challenges to check out the Carpool Challenge

• Tap any Tile to read the action associated with it (e.g., “take an Instant Carpool”)

• After completing a carpool action, you’ll receive an invitation to play your next Tile

• Double-tap any colored Tile to play it, or tap other Tiles to learn more about them

• Keep using the app to complete your card and earn your rewards!
